UGHHH!! tied up late in 4th, drove downfield, tried FG but was iced and missed. Go to OT and CPU scores on first play. I match the score with a 4th and 2 run but was not even close to the endzone but they gave me the TD anyways. Start 2nd OT and first play I drop back to throw and the ball is tipped up by the DL. The DB who happened to be at the right place at the right time picks it off. Returned for the score and another loss for me.  This is becoming maddening. Though I guess on the plus side having close games is far more fun than crushing the CPU by 30+ points. *that's 2 instant classics back to back* |

Ah, that sucks, but like you said, it's fun to have close games. I'm scheduling all my out of conference games next season as human opponents so I can get more close games.

we have 1 open slot, but I won't fill it until the start of season 2. If you want to join, you're welcome to. We advance it every 4 days, but its been going almost every other day since we removed the guy holding us up.

That, and the fact that college football is actually here will keep everyone interested. We hear about a game on ESPN and then want to play NCAA. Before, I think the league was getting close to losing interest because it was at that perfect time: everyone is done with their "New Release" high and there was no football to watch. But now the season is here! Both my teams (Michigan and VaTech) lost! HOORAY!!!

I'm in a college pick'em with some friends and we skipped week 1 due to people being out town and such so they couldn't turn in their picks. Thank God. I was banking on wins from VaTech, Michigan, Clemson, Michigan St (Cal was a winnable game), and Illinois (all about the JUICE!). That would have been a 5-5 week (we do ten a week) and huge hole to climb out of. I expect to win though. I think my college football knowledge is up there, so wish me luck!

Wow you picked VaTech, Michigan, Clemson, Michigan St and Illinois? Ouch  I had Utah straight up (did anyone think Michigan with a new coach, losing their QB, RB and OL and trying to shake the Appy St. mess from last opener had a shot vs a very solid Utah team that has proven themselves vs BCS conference teams) Clemson and Illinois are very overrated as I knew Illinois would sneak up on nobody this year. If the public is all over them I go the other way. When the public zigs you zag. As seen with the UCLA game. My pipe lock for week 2 is Penn St to cover (-14) |
